Istanbul Mehmet Mikael Z 22” Ride Sizzle Cymbal

The Istanbul Mehmet Mikael Z 22″ Ride Sizzle Cymbal is another unique cymbal from the Istanbul Mehmet Signature Series and is a traditional ride cymbal which has the ability to produce a warm, rich sound that is capable of a beautiful sizzling effect sound. Inspired by vintage jazz sounds, the Mikael Z Series was created with modern jazz drummers for modern jazz drummers, the design allows for all the classic ‘jazz’ characteristics whilst also making room for contemporary features and sounds too.

The Mehmet Mikael Z Tribute Rides have been crafted using traditional Turkish techniques, similar to how the legendary Jazz cymbals of the 1970s were produced. This special series of cymbals have been created as a dedication to Mehmet’s esteemed master, Mikael Zilcan. Mikael was an inspiration to Mehmet when he was young and he taught him the true art of cymbal-making. The sounds produced make for a great juxtaposition of sound whilst delivering great stick definition.
